PURBANI ON PROTIDIN
This article was published in Protidin, also on April 12, 2012. This article focusses on the
efforts of the management of the Nawab Estate to reclaim the former Dilkusha Gardens
land back from the Government. Apparently, Dilkusha Commercial Area, as named by the Dhaka Improvement Trust was taken possession of under laws of eminent domain from Nawab Salimullah, or it was donated to the City of Dhaka by the Nawab. The Nawab Estate management attempted to reverse that takeover in an attempt to re-possess the Purbani land. They were given three months by the Supreme Court to show-cause, which they failed.
